Arenacross Action in Pikeville
Arenacross Media
Sellards and Barnes dominate

Untitled Document AURORA, Ill., January 19, 2007 –The Toyota AMA Arenacross series landed in Pikeville, Kentucky, for the first time tonight, with a whole lot of feuding going.  First off, this is the town where the legendary Hatfield-McCoy feud took place.  The feud on the track began in the Lites Class where Kentucky local and crowd favorite Justin Sipes was on the pipe out of the gate, but went down early, and then the battle was on between Brad Modjewski and Patrick Boyle, of Illinois.  Modjewski, sponsored by Rock River Powersports, rode his Yamaha to the top of the podium, outlasting Boyle.  Shane Sewell was able to get past Danny Smith near the end to round out the podium in the Lites.      The Arenacross Class was dominated by the Buckeye dynamic duo…Brock Sellards and Matt Barnes.  Sellards, who rides for Tuff Racing went wire to wire, with Barnes, who is sponsored by StarkMX.com, in his back pocket.  The battle in this race was for third and Justin Sipes had it until the closing laps where he took a soil sample and Scott Metz was able to get around finish in third.      There was a decent crowd on hand that were treated to an excellent Arenacross show for the first time ever in Pikeville.  Kudos also go out to the US Air Force Freestyle Jump-Off Winner, Doug Gall, who did it on his KTM, and a huge “attaboy” to the winner of the 65 Class, Taylor Perry, who has a strong future in front of him!  We will be back faster and stronger tomorrow, keep it on two wheels (unless you are doing a wheelie)!  Mikey
